Courses Offered
University Studies
Langara College is the smart way to go to university. They provide the most comprehensive Arts & Science University-Transfer Program of any college in BC. More students transfer to BC universities from Langara College than from any other college in the province.
Their students enjoy a wide range of academic offerings in more than 60 subject areas and benefit from smaller class sizes, excellent support services, outstanding instructors, and competitive tuition fees. They offer 3 semesters per year, so students are free to study at their own pace.
Depending on courses chosen, students who complete a minimum of 60 credits (normally 20 courses) may apply for an Associate Degree or Arts and Science Diploma. These credits may be transferred to BC colleges and universities, as well as many universities in Canada, allowing students to continue in their university studies.
Career Studies
Langara College offers more than 30 career programs, leading to bachelor’s degrees, two-year diplomas, one-year certificates, or one-semester citations.
Developed with the co-operation of community-based advisory committees, Career programs combine a strong academic core with state-of-the-art marketplace skills that lead to careers in the arts, business, industry and community services.
Career programs require that students apply directly to the programs and may require supplemental applications, letters of reference, portfolio reviews, and/or other prerequisites. Most are limited enrolment, providing a sense of community amongst students and instructors.
Continuing Studies
Langara College Continuing Studies offers a rich and diverse range of lifelong learning opportunities. Whether the objective is to improve business skills, enhance a career path, expand individual creativity, or develop a more holistic approach to personal well-being, Continuing Studies offers more than 500 courses and 35 certificate programs designed with the needs of the student in mind.
Endeavouring to be resources and contributors to community life, Langara CS personnel participate in and support significant public issues and concerns.
